Dan Hurley Rejects Kentucky Job Offer
Hurley Laughs Off Rumors
UConn Coach Focused on Huskies
After leading UConn to back-to-back national championships, coach Dan Hurley has addressed rumors that he was being considered for the Kentucky coaching job.
In a press conference, Hurley joked that he couldn't take the Kentucky job because it would move his wife further away from New York City.
"I love Kentucky, but I'm not going to move my wife to Lexington," Hurley said.
Hurley's comments came after reports that he was one of the top candidates for the Kentucky job. The Wildcats are looking for a new coach after John Calipari announced his retirement.
Hurley, who has led UConn to a 44-4 record over the past two seasons, said that he is focused on his current job.
"I'm not going to speculate on other jobs," Hurley said. "I'm just going to keep coaching this team and trying to win championships."
