Timberwolves Vs Suns Score

Suns Top Timberwolves 97-87 in Game 1

Allen, Durant Lead Phoenix to Victory

Suns Jump Out to Early Lead

The Phoenix Suns raced out to a 15-0 lead in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. Grayson Allen led the way for the Suns with 23 points, while Kevin Durant added 22. The Timberwolves were led by Anthony Edwards' 21 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Suns' early advantage.

The Suns' defense was stifling in the first half, holding the Timberwolves to just 38.5% shooting from the field. They also forced 10 turnovers, which led to several easy baskets for the Suns. Durant was particularly effective on the defensive end, blocking two shots and grabbing three steals.

The Timberwolves were able to make a run in the third quarter, cutting the Suns' lead to just five points. However, the Suns responded with a 10-0 run of their own to put the game away. Allen hit a pair of three-pointers during the run, and Durant added a dunk.

The Suns will now head to Minnesota for Game 2 of the series on Monday night.
